Meet Brendan, our newest Field Staff Volunteer

Eastern Bluebird by Brendan Hanrahan

Meet Brendan

Hello! My name is Brendan Hanrahan. I live in Grafton, Massachusetts and enjoy photographing all sorts of local wildlife. In my real life I’m a history teacher, nature lover, cyclist, language learner, hiker, runner, dog owner, and most importantly, husband and father.

Equipment Bag

Right now I’m using a Nikon D3300. For a lens, I usually use a Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6. I also have an Apeman trail camera which I’ve deployed at various locations on our property.

Photography Tip

On my Nikon D3300 I find it works best to change the auto focus feature from the shutter release button to another place. I have found that the AE-L/AF-L button located at the top part of the camera works well.
